Defunct: A High-Speed Adventure Game
Defunct is an indie adventure game that takes you on a thrilling journey of a broken robot. The robot falls out of a giant cargo ship onto a post-human Earth, now inhabited by robots. The main objective of the game is to get back to the ship before it's too late! The game has a strong focus on flow, speed, and an engaging world.
The game is equipped with a Gravitize engine that creates a separate gravity around the robot. This is the main source of speed. The game has 11 varied levels full of different climates, biomes, and challenges. You can unlock skins for the main character and special (unlockable) tricks to school everyone. The game also features a time trial mode with five additional levels, where you can compete for the best completion times.
In addition to the Gravitize engine, the world is full of different speed boosts such as Enerjuice, which you can pick up and use to go faster. You can drive through the world, meet strange robots, fly through junkyards, and boost your way back to your ship.
